This policy establishes how the Nevada Real Estate Division
will handle the information collected from you when you perform a transaction
through our online licensing system.
Online vs. In Person vs. Mail
The online licensing renewal system offers services online
that you might otherwise transact in person or by mail. Our goal is to provide
licensees with a more timely, convenient and efficient means in which to
perform real estate transactions.
Collection and Use of Information
Information collected from an application submitted online
will be treated in the same manner as the information collected on a printed
application submitted to the Nevada Real Estate Division. The online system
stores information specific to satisfying the requirements of renewing your
license, registration, certificate or permit.
During the payment process, you will be required to enter
banking or credit card information. Financial information obtained in this
transaction is held in strictest confidence while RED processes your online
transaction. Banking and credit card information is not maintained once the
transaction is completed and will not be shared, sold, or otherwise
disseminated to any outside person or entity, except as required or authorized
by law.
The payment process may also reference First Data. First
Data is the point-of-sale payment processor contracted with the State to
perform this service. First Data maintains a central electronic payment
interface that Nevada Real Estate Division utilizes as part of the online
service application. First Data will accept only the pertinent data necessary
to validate and complete the transaction. Payment information will be obtained
by First Data and used only to complete the payment portion of the online
transaction.
Security
The first time you attempt to login, or if you forget your
user name and password, you will be required to enter personal information,
such as your birth date, social security number and license number. We
recognize that many people are concerned about the privacy and protection of
information as it is transmitted over the Internet. All operational and data
processing systems are in a secure environment that protects customer
information from being accessed by unauthorized individuals or third parties.
We use authentication, secure data transmission, security monitoring, auditing,
and encryption (Secure Sockets Layer) on our servers to enhance the level of
security for the transmission of your personal information.

The online licensing system contains a link to the Real
Estate Division website. When you link to another site outside of the
Division’s website, this Privacy Statement will no longer apply.

any officer, employee, or contractor of the State of Nevada warrants the
